Frequently Asked Questions

01

Can we use M2 Panels as walls for a high-rise building or is it limited to only low-rise structures?

M2 Panels can be used in all types of construction projects, regardless of height and even shape, for many kinds of end-users. T hey are flexible enough to meet any structural requirement and budget restrictions.

02

What is the unit weight per square meters of M2 Panel vs. concrete hollow blocks (CHB)?

CHB unit weight is 240 kgs. per sqm. vs. M2 Panel unit weight of 147 kgs. per sqm. This means a building that can be 40% lighter, with a better safety factor as the structure is built higher

03

What is the construction cost using M2 Panels compared to the traditional construction method?

Compared to the conventional method, the cost of the M 2 Panel Advanced Building System is approximately 10-15% less. Additional savings can be realized through time efficiency, such as in ease of handling and in installation.

04

What are the standard sizes of M2 Panels?

M2 Panels have the standard width of 1.20m, with customizable length and variable thickness of EPS from 30mm to 200mm.

05

Is there any special method or technique for installing M2 Panels?

There is no special installation method, but we highly recommend using any liquid marker to layout the dowels for proper alignment before installation.

06

What is the ratio of plaster mixture?

The ratio is 1:3. One (1) part cement for every three (3) parts of sand, with slump of 2 to 3 inches. This ratio is the same for CHB but with a different slump.

07

What kind of sand do you use for plastering M2 Panels as walls?

For walls, we recommend fine sand or passing sieve no.3/8 inches.

08

For walls, can we use M2 Panels to replace CHB even in a conventionally designed building plan?

Actually, M2 Panels is the best alternative to CHB when building walls because it is flexible in terms of design and application.

9

Are M2 Panels durable?

Yes, very much so. A finished wall of M2 Panels has a compressive strength of 1,200 pounds per square inch or more, compared to the non-load bearing CHB of only 400 pounds per square inch. The wire mesh of M2 Panels acts like a web, with the EPS acting as a spacer and insulator, contributing to its overall durability.
